Academic Research And Development
To facilitate research activities, Rishi MS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women established its Research & Development (R&D) Cell in 2019. The cell was created with a broad vision to nurture innovation, promote collaborations, and drive impactful research for the benefit of society and industry.
Scope
1. Establish collaborations with universities, public and private sectors, and identify R&D projects including consultancy services that can be undertaken at the institution.
2. Work closely with industry to develop new or improved products, processes, systems, or services that enhance productivity.
3. Foster collaborations for mutual benefit and maximize industrial connectivity.
4. Facilitate research across various domains for societal benefit.
5. Ensure smooth functioning and effective management of R&D activities within the institution.
6. Monitor the quality of dissertations, thesis topics, and research reports.
7. Provide periodic feedback to researchers and management.
Objectives
1. Supervise and oversee R&D activities across the Institute, ensuring performance through proper monitoring of projects in key thrust areas.
2. Promote a research culture by encouraging collaboration and cooperation among faculty members.
3. Explore national and international research collaborations for long-term development.
4. Inspire enthusiasm for research and innovation among students and faculty.
5. Review and monitor upcoming research areas to encourage quality research and minimize delays through structured schedules.
6. Organize lectures and seminars to provide academic support and guidance to researchers, with recommendations from expert committees.
7. Conduct seminars on paper presentation techniques for faculty and students to meet national and international standards.
8. Inculcate research practices by hosting paper presentation competitions for students and staff.
Achievements
2020–21
IIIT Hyderabad conducted experiments at Rishi MS Institute, where students participated in Cognitive Sciences projects related to Time and Perception.
2019–20
Technical Entrepreneurship Program at RITW: 70 students participated.
ISB EduTech and AgriTech Smart City Projects: 21 students were selected.
Android Maker Space (Hysea Doc): 49 students developed various mobile applications.
