Rishi MS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (RITW) stands as a beacon of excellence in women’s education in the fields of engineering and technology. Established in 2009, RITW is a premier institution located in the lush green campus of 5.2 acres, opposite JNTU in Hyderabad, Telangana. The college, an integral part of the Rishi UBR Educational Society, is dedicated to creating an environment where women are encouraged to excel, innovate, and lead in the world of technology.
A Legacy of Excellence
The foundation of the Rishi UBR Educational Society was laid in 1990 with the aim of empowering women through education. The society’s journey began with the establishment of the Rishi UBR Degree College for Women in 1991, in memory of the revered Sri U.B. Raghavendra Rao Garu, a retired IAS officer and former Secretary to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. This college was envisioned as a place to impart quality education to women and inspire them to achieve their dreams.
Over the years, the society has expanded its horizons, venturing into the field of technical education with the establishment of Rishi MS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (RITW) in 2009. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, RITW has made a significant mark in the realm of women’s education in engineering and technology. Today, RITW is home to over 300 students, and it continues to grow, offering diverse undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, management, and computer applications.

Under the able leadership of Prof. S. Jeelani, the Chairman of Rishi UBR Educational Society, RITW has flourished into a center of academic brilliance. Prof. Jeelani is a highly accomplished scholar with a doctorate in Pharmacognosy and a specialization in Herbal Medicine. His vast experience in academia, research, and administration has greatly contributed to RITW’s growth and success.
Ms. Rajasree, the Secretary of the institution, has been instrumental in promoting women’s empowerment through education. A founder member of Rishi UBR Educational Institutions, Ms. Rajasree has also been recognized with the prestigious Vikas Ratan Gold Medal Award for her contributions to the field of education and her advocacy for women’s rights.
