Scope

1. Nurture and oversee innovation and entrepreneurship.

2. Establish the college as a Centre for Excellence in Innovation through interdisciplinary programs.

3. Create opportunities for students to build their academic profile for a successful career.

4. Enhance productivity in youth and channel their intellect to improvise and invent for the benefit of society.

5. Encourage research activities within the college campus.

6. Facilitate students in identifying their goals according to their capabilities for a fulfilling professional life.

7. Support students to progressively realize and achieve their best version.

Objectives

1. Foster innovation and research that will lead to competitive development.

2. Promote new technology, knowledge, and innovation-based start-ups.

3. Provide a platform for speedy commercialization of technologies developed by the host institution or any academic/technical/R&D institution.

4. Build a vibrant start-up ecosystem by networking academia, financial institutions, industries, and other institutions.

5. Provide cost-effective, value-added services to start-ups such as mentoring, legal, technical, and intellectual property-related services.

Achievements

2020–21

1) MSME: To support entrepreneurship, Rishi MS received MSME HEI Incubation Cell approval on Jan 4th, 2020. Ten student ideas in AgriTech, Smart Cities, and EduTech themes were submitted to MSME in Feb 2020. Students from 2019–20 were trained by ISB (Technology Entrepreneurship Program) and Hysea (Android Maker Space).

2) IDEAS 2021: MSME program initiated on Jan 31st to support and guide the community in building an entrepreneurial mindset. Rishi MS promoted the program and guided 36 external users in refining ideas and supported them in the process of business plan documentation.

2019–20

1) Rishi MS associated with the ISB Technology Entrepreneurship Program through the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK). 21 students worked on three themes and conducted research in:
