What is Lateral Entry?
Lateral Entry allows diploma holders in engineering to join B.Tech 2nd year directly, skipping the first year. This is a great opportunity for diploma graduates to upgrade their qualification to a full B.Tech degree at RITW — one of the top women's engineering colleges in Hyderabad.
Eligibility for Lateral Entry
- Must hold a Diploma in Engineering in a relevant branch from a recognized polytechnic.
- Must have qualified TS ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Test) conducted by TSCHE.
- Minimum 45% aggregate in Diploma (40% for SC/ST).
- Candidate must be a woman (RITW is exclusively for women).

Admission Process – Step by Step
- Appear and qualify in TS ECET 2026.
- Register for TSCHE web counselling for lateral entry.
- Exercise option for RITW and your preferred branch.
- Receive allotment order and report to RITW with documents.
- Complete fee payment and confirm admission.
📌 Note: 100% of lateral entry seats are filled by the Convener (TSCHE) based on ECET rank. There is no direct management quota for lateral entry.
