Objectives & Functions

  • To function as the statutory Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, ensuring full compliance with legal provisions.
  • To receive and investigate complaints of sexual harassment in a confidential, impartial, and time-bound manner, safeguarding the rights and dignity of all parties involved.
  • To conduct regular awareness programmes, workshops, and orientation sessions on sexual harassment prevention, gender sensitivity, and women's rights on campus.
  • To promote a safe, respectful, and harassment-free work and learning environment for all women students, faculty, and staff.
  • To recommend appropriate disciplinary action in cases where complaints are substantiated, ensuring accountability and adherence to institutional policies.
  • To maintain confidential records of complaints, inquiries, and actions taken, and submit annual reports to the appropriate authorities as mandated by law.
