Objectives & Functions

• To formulate and review library policies, procurement procedures, and user services to ensure equitable access to learning resources for students, faculty, and staff.
• To recommend the acquisition of books, journals, magazines, e-resources, and digital materials based on curriculum requirements, faculty suggestions, and emerging academic needs.
• To promote the effective utilization of library resources through orientation programmes, user awareness sessions, and resource literacy initiatives.
• To facilitate access to e-learning platforms, online courses (NPTEL, SWAYAM, MOOCs), virtual labs, and digital repositories that complement traditional classroom instruction.
• To support faculty in developing e-content, video lectures, and digital teaching materials to enhance the quality and accessibility of the teaching-learning process.
• To monitor library usage, conduct user satisfaction surveys, and recommend improvements to library infrastructure, services, and digital integration.
